Insight Kortrijk – A project by a student for students Part 1
Good afternoon, dear students!
Or as they say here in Belgium: Goededag!
Who hasn’t asked themselves: Is there more to Belgium than chocolate, waffles and
lots of different types of beer? Well, dear readers, it’s very easy to fall in love with
these culinary highlights, but that’s not all.
Hello, I am Daniel Malin, a 24-year-old student from Austria who is currently in
Belgium as part of his semester abroad. I study Creative Communication at Howest
University in Kortrijk and try to share the content we learn there with my passions.
Namely producing videos and discovering new places.
Why Kortrijk, you might be wondering? Well, if you google this small Belgian town,
you unfortunately won’t see all of its diversity. This can be either daunting or just
plain boring, especially for future students. Kortrijk is the perfect example of this. But
that is changing now.
And that brings me to my current mission, which I present here on my homepage
“danielmalin.be”. My goal is to highlight the diversity and beauty of Kortrijk with my
videos and short films. I would like to show you future semester abroad students why
Kortrijk is more than just another place on the map. There are many reasons why a
stay here is worthwhile. On my homepage you will find videos and blogs that will
introduce you to the beautiful and interesting sides of Kortrijk. Whether it’s cozy
cafés, bars to relax in, sights or exciting events – I will explore a lot and try to give you
the best possible impression of here.
So, dear future students abroad, look forward to many exciting insights and
discoveries here on my site. I look forward to showing you Kortrijk and all its
beautiful spots!
